Wednesday the 19th of February 2020 marks the 40th anniversary of the passing of Bon Scott, and it sees the release of yet another book on Bon. “A Rockin’ Rollin’ Man: Bon Scott Remembered” is comprised of new interviews with a variety of well-known rock musicians reflecting on what made the hard-rocking, hard-living singer so special. Among the artists and other music figures who contributed to the book are former AC/DC drummer Simon Wright, original Cheap Trick drummer Bun E. Carlos, ex-Judas Priest guitarist KK Downing, Thin Lizzy guitarist Scott Gorham, Hanoi Rocks singer Michael Monroe, Pantera singer Phil Anselmo and engineer Tony Platt, who worked on AC/DC’s Highway to Hell and Back in Black albums. A Rockin’ Rollin’ Man: Bon Scott Remembered was put together by journalist/author Greg Prato, who previously has written books about KISS, late Deep Purple guitarist Tommy Bolin, Iron Maiden and many other popular rock acts.
